Say 'Pepsi!'

I had so many pictures I wanted to share, I made another post. Enjoy.

Also, 'saying Pepsi' is the Thai equivalent of 'saying cheese.' Cool stuff.

Breakfast at the bread place during our Singaporean homestay.

We did what Lydia would normally do: shop. A lot of places wouldn't let you try on clothes so wrapping pants around your neck was a remarkably accurate sizing method. On the other hand, you risk looking as goofy as Lydia.

In awe at the sweet shop.

After church. Lydia, Clark, Abby, Myself, Aaron, and Andre. They were practicing Roman-Catholics.

Dinner at the family's favorite hawker stand. The 'specialty' was the meat sprinkled in what looked like cheese on the right. Lydia wouldn't tell me until after I ate it that the 'cheese' was actually butter...

Sweet green beans for dessert (or 'supper').

We had this too. Still trying to figure it out.

After we spent the night griping about our absurdly abstract religion class in which we endlessly discuss 'the essence' of things, finally discovering the essence of chicken in Lydia's room was miraculous. But apparently this stuff is almost magical; it has been proven to significantly increase memory capability and overall brain functioning for a short period of time so all the school kids down a bottle before exams.

Lunch at Din Tai Fung. Some kind of chicken-y noodles, prawn fried rice, 'drunken chicken,' and delcious asian dumplings! Possibly the best lunch I've ever had.

Poke a hole in the dumpling, suck out the soup, then munch down to get to the meat inside. It took some practice. Followed by dumplings filled with red beans which were just heavenly.

Cat's Eye (Mata Kuching) and Rambutan.

The way rice was cooked at the roadside stand.

View outside where we had lunch.

Arrow pointing toward Mecca found in practically all Malay hotels.

Process of dying silk.

A visit to a Malay kite-maker's.

Green Turtles we released from the center. It seemed a bit intrusive but I trust the turtle center knew what they were doing. They were very cute though.

A very small portion of the unexpected welcoming during our Malay homestay. My camera was on the wrong setting but trust me, it was a bit strange.

Roti Prata.

Dancers at Malay homestay opening ceremony...

Way cooler than daisy chains.

Learning to make a fishing net.

My Malay homestay 'Ma.'

Malay equivalent of the Hollywood sign.

A shirt in the open-air market.

These shouldn't have amused me as much as they did.

?

??

A very strange fair entrance. I think the 'Euros' on the right were supposed to be Justin Beiber and Miley Cyrus.

Especially the midget ones.

Referring to the suds.

Apparently a mere suggestion.

We visited an amusement park full of mini mosques. The Taj Mahal isn't a mosque, but whatever.

Turkish.

Reason number 273 why its not a great idea to going swimming in Malaysia.

We visited a hand-carved wood museum. Very cool stuff.

Weapon that doubles as a ladies hair ornament. Very classy.

The beach we found after lunch on our last day. It was gorgeous.
